Heather Lindgren

Heather earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota in 2002 and recently graduated with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from St. Cloud State University. For the past twelve years she has worked within Vocational Rehabilitation working directly for State of Minnesota Vocational Rehabilitation Services for 3 years, Liz Jones and Associates for 1 year, Midwest Special Services for 1 ½ year, MRCI Worksource for 3 ½ years, and Trillium Works for 2 ½ years.  She has worked in various roles supervising and providing employment services including career exploration, job placement, job coaching, and on-site vocational assessments for both youth and adults with disabilities. These experiences have provided extensive experience within vocational rehabilitation and a deep understanding of the impact that a disability has on employment.  She was recognized for her effective impact on people with disabilities by being awarded the Minnesota Rehabilitation Association Job Placement Person of the Year in 2014. Additionally, while supervising employees at Midwest Special Services along with Trillium Works!,  she trained employees on best practices for vocational assessments, job placement, business development, and labor market research.
